Your body is highly sensitive to the environment. The body is a very complex system of chemical reactions and electrical impulses. A single cell breathes, uses energy, and releases toxins; so, when the whole body comprised of cells doing this, you realize what kind of impact it has on the overall performance. The most minute amount of chemicals can radically harm your body. Three ways to identify how toxins can enter your system are listed below:
Absorption
Any chemical touching the skin is absorbed and spread throughout your body. Cleaning agents days afterward can still impact the human body. Most of these cleaning products are toxic and can negatively effect your health.
Ingestion
Another way for chemicals to be exposed to the human body is through swallowing. Unfortunately our society is exposed in various ways from cleaning products to food. According to the National Safe Kids Campaign, the majority of victims who have ingested poisons are under the age of 12. A high percentage of the population is also suffering from obesity which can be attributed to the processed foods on the market. The body is unable to digest and breakdown the food and as a result gets stored as fat toxins in the body. Being obese can further complicate health with high blood pressure, diabetes, strokes, etc. The list seems endless.
Inhalation
Inhaling fumes from cleaning products can harm your body quicker than ingesting as the toxins go directly to the bloodstream and travel to organs like the brain, heart, liver, and kidneys. A lot of these products will irritate your eyes, nose, throat and lungs as well as giving you headaches and sinus infections.
